Install Vision Mixer.

Windows Setup for Windows 10/11 (64-bit), or Linux .deb for Ubuntu 24.04 or newer (64-bit). No AppImage. NDI included — you do not need a separate NDI install.

On Linux, install avahi-daemon for automatic mDNS discovery (preinstalled on most desktops). Without it, add sources by IP in the app.

Windows

Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). Run the Setup installer, then start Vision Mixer from the Start menu.

Windows may show SmartScreen or Defender warnings (“Windows protected your PC”, unknown publisher, or that the app could be dangerous). That can happen with a new installer. Choose More info, then Run anyway (wording varies by Windows version). The download from lumengrid.shop is the Vision Mixer Setup we publish.

  1. 01 Download the .deb

Press Download .deb. One package for Ubuntu 24.04 or newer (64-bit). NDI is already included.

  2. 02 Install

Right-click → Open With… → Software Install, or use the terminal commands in step B.

  3. 03 Launch

Start Vision Mixer from the app menu, or run visionmixer in a terminal. The 30-day trial starts on first launch. To enter a license key, press LICENSE in the panel header.

  1. A Software Install

Find the downloaded .deb. Right-click → Open With… → Software Install (or Ubuntu Software). Follow the prompts.

  2. B Or use the terminal

Open Terminal, go to your Downloads folder, then run:

    cd ~/Downloads
    sudo apt install ./visionmixer_1.1.3_amd64.deb

apt installs any missing pieces automatically. Then start Vision Mixer from the app menu, or run visionmixer.

If it won’t run

Windows: what do I run?
Download Visionmixer-setup-1.1.3.exe and run the Setup installer. It needs Windows 10 or 11 (64-bit). NDI is included — no separate NDI Tools install is required.
Windows says the app is dangerous / unknown publisher
Choose More info, then Run anyway (wording varies). The download from lumengrid.shop is the Vision Mixer Setup we publish.
Is there an AppImage?
No. Linux is .deb only for Vision Mixer.
Double-click on the .deb only opened a folder
That is common. Right-click the file → Open With… → Software Install (or Ubuntu Software). Or use the terminal commands above.
The Ubuntu package will not install
It needs Ubuntu 24.04 or newer (64-bit). Ubuntu 22.04 is not supported. Install it with sudo apt install ./visionmixer_1.1.3_amd64.deb (keep the ./) so apt pulls in any missing pieces.
No sources / discovery empty
NDI is already in the app. On Linux, check that avahi-daemon is running (systemctl status avahi-daemon) and that sender and receiver are on the same subnet. You can always add sources by IP.
